2019 has been a difficult year for me and one I have trouble looking back on to find much to be grateful for. But I guess, it’s in these tough times where we most need to practice gratitude. Since I couldn’t find my own words, I decided to borrow some. I’ve always loved this song in all its many incarnations, in particular, John Coltrane’s epic rendition. So this is my modest offering to you, cut in one take with a simple one-take solo and harmony vocal in my little apartment. The older I get, the less I care about perfection - it is often the enemy of good. Hold each other close this holiday and be grateful for all that you have.
Peace & music,
Ben
